Trip Summary
The Maasai is the most known African ethnic group internationally, they are indigenous by nature and semi nomadic Communities. They live around East Africa National parks, speak Maa language and are still deep-rooted in their culture of Warriors graduation decoration and jumps. Get into their homesteads called “Manyattas", Walk around the wildlife with the real Maasai warriors

Day 1: “Karibu (Welcome) Kenya"

Day 2 : Visit Lake Nakuru National Park Trip Orientation, drive through Great Rift Valley with a stop-over at the valley view point,. Visit to Lake Nakuru National Park, the only park with attracts million offlamingoes and endangered black & white rhino. Night in 4*** star lodge |
Day 3: Maasai Community / Wildlife
Drive to Mara Game Reserve for a game drive - enjoy wildlife viewing with a local guide, learn their culture & Maa language from elder men (eg. how to say god Enkai or Engai and some words) besides history about their semi nomadic way of life.

Day 4: Morning Game Drive/Social Life:
Observe Morning Life of wildlife in the park, before lunch in the Maasai village. Then learn about warrior graduation, recruitment of Maasai elders and how they protect themselves from wildlife, make fire in the wilderness. You will be decorated and will wear like them during this day.

Day 5: Marriage/ polygamous
Learn about the Maasai marriage, where women select men by looking who jumps the highest among the warriors and wears the most outstanding decorations. Discover how Masai are polygamous by necessity, understand their way of paying dowry.

Day 6: Building Manyatta hut:
Build a Manyatta (Maasai huts): this shelter house known as Inkajijik (houses) is mostly constructed by women. They use local, readily available materials mix of mud, sticks, grass, cow dung and ash, these are very indigenous modes to construct a house.

Day 7: Masai herbs and decorations
Be guided through the roots of the Masai traditional herbs that are also recommended in some modern hospitals in Kenya. See how the Masai gather and use some of these herbs, how they make bead ornaments. Drive back to Nairobi, relax in your hotel before going to the famous Carnivore restaurant to enjoy great game meat & entertainment.
