Day 2: Great Rift Valley / Lake Nakuru
Trip orientation then depart to Lake Nakuru National Park, for game drive, view the famous flamingos and endangered black plus white rhino. Drive thought Great Rift Valley with stop at Valley view point. The area will go up to High Altitude of 2400m above the sea level. Night in 4****star Hotel
Day 3: History & origins of the Kallenjin
Learn about the history and origins of the Nilotic Kallenjin communities, which have kept the indigenous traditions, almost like the Masai. Also discover the building of the sub-tribes or sub-clans who almost speak the same language with different cultures. Have a great memory session with the elders around the campfire. Day 4: Kipsigis traditions
Visit to Kipsigis community: learn about Kallenjin’s food and their daily activities, (such as farming). learn their traditional culture of sub-clan known as ipinda (joining a named age set) or turudo (traditional initiation ceremonies)include paying dowry Night in 4**** star lodge
Day 5: Famous athletes
Home visit to famous athlete champions’ families, learn how they welcome their heroes after they win a race abroad. Sometimes things go wild, as they pour milk on their champion’s body and also make special food in these occasions. Night in 4**** star lodge
Day 6: Tugen Culture, Paul Tergat home:
Learn Tugen culture, how they build their house and keep their cattle. See how they rank one of their important champion – Paul Tergat and visit to his home plus they unique way of getting marriage. Game drive in Lake Baringo national park. Night in 3*** star lodge
Day 7: Pokot traditional Culture
Meet a Pokot community, learn they traditional therapy and massage and how to treat fractures and other physical injuries traditionally. Learn to make young warriors beautiful hair braids. Role of women and men in the society, a unique one being the young warrior trained at protecting the livestock. Night in 4*** star lodge
Day 8:"Kwaheri" - bye!
