Kenya Voluntary Programmes

Every year, Malaika Ecotourism mobilizes volunteers from various countries with expressed commitment to render services to the nature and people of Kenya.  Mid / Long Term voluntary Services & Work camps have proved to be effective forums to achieve these objectives especially when the local communities are involved in all implementation stages.

Malaika Philosophy:
Malaika Ecotourism believes the role of each Volunteer is to be a catalyst that activates the process hence the philosophy “ Sustainable independent Development”.

Eco Work Camp

These projects are done in a spirit of Harambee (unity) with the community, for a duration of 3 weeks in the months of April, July, August and Nov/Dec
Volunteers live & work together with a community.

Workcamps tackle decisive matters like Farming, Reforestation, Water, Eco-construction...
Yearly, we dedicate ourselves to a specific theme:

MLTV Programme

Mid / Long Term voluntary Services (MLTV) have longer period of sustainability and impacts. Volunteers live in families in the community or in a hostel located nearby the project.

These projects are open time programme lasting for duration of 1, 3 up 12 months and can start anytime:

MLTV projects are organized in activities such as Humanitarian Development, Ecological Development,
Medical, Sport and Teaching
