Aberdare / TreeTop / Lake Nakuru / Masai Mara
7days in Kenya Wildlife & Meet the people
Start your safari where Princess Elizabeth became a Queen : from the top of a tree lodge, view animals approaching you, unlike normal game drives where you have to look for the
animals. View millions of flamingos in Lake Nakuru then proceed to a walk in park caves. Mara Reserve -the
home of the great migration of animals inhabiting almost all of the African wild animals - will also provide you with a
cultural taste of the people. These are some of the amazing experience this safari offers.
Day 1: Aberdare TreeTop
Depart from Nairobi, drive along the coffee plantations in Central Kenya region. Stop over for lunch at Outspan lodge in Nyeri. Transfer
to Aberdare national park in the famous Treetops lodge, to enjoy a unique night game viewing from the lodge’s special decks: the water holes in front of the lodge pull animals such as elephants
and Black rhinos. Dinner & night in the lodge.
Day 2: Treetop / Lake Nakuru
Game viewing in the treetop lodge then transfer to Outspan in Nyeri to
meet your guide. Drive to Lake Nakuru where you will arrive in good time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in this park of endangered species such as white rhino with attraction of pink color at the foot of the lake due to millions of flamingos. Drive to Fisherman's Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Hell’s Gate National Park/ Biking or Walking
Early morning game drive in Hell’s Gate, a unique national park where you can enjoy game walking or cycling. This park pulls diverse wildlife such as buffalo and leopard. A picnic lunch before nature walks around hot springs and caves explorations. Optional visit to Elsamere wildlife conservation centre, founded by famous Joy Adamson of the "born free" movie. Back
to Fisherman’s camp for dinner around the campfire, listening to Hippos and birds' sounds. Overnight.
Day 4: Masai Mara, the Big Five
Depart Naivasha, with a stop over for a visit to an adult educational programme set by a women group in Kenia district : you will enjoy the welcoming dances of these women. Then drive to the mighty plain of Masai Mara, searching for the Big
Five among other plenty of plain animals. After lunch,
relax at leisure before an afternoon game drive until dark, to see the animals getting out of the
savannah after the sun gets cooler. Back to your lodge or campsite for dinner and night
Day 5: Mara River & Masai Community
Early morning game drive to see animals' behaviour, such as hunting for food. Picnic lunch at the Mara river
hippo point, relax while watching hippos getting of the water. In the afternoon, visit a Masai village to experience some of the Masai warriors' traditional jums and visit a Manyatta (Hut). Visit a Masai community fair trade market to bring some souvenirs back home. Late game drive, back to your lodge or campsite for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Rift Valley, Giraffe Center or Karen Blixen, Carnivore Restaurant
Morning game drive on your way out of the park. Drive on the floor of the Great
Rift Valley with a stop over at the valley viewpoint for spectacular views of the valley features
with stunning distribution of vegetation. Enjoy a visit to Giraffe Center where you can feed Giraffes or Karen Blixen's Museum, where you will also have lunch. Drop off at your hotel for relaxation before a great dinner in Carnivore Restaurant, famous for game meat. Overnight in hotel.
Day 7: Nairobi shopping/visit
A day for souvenir shopping or for enjoying optional activities in Nairobi such as National Archive Museum (culture & history of the country), a visit to the slums where you will try traditional Kenyan food. Transfer to airport.
